Nenad Zilic BVetMed CertEP MRCVS Nenad Zilic qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in June 1999. All was not plain sailing for Nenad during the early years of his veterinary training. He began his studies at the University of Zagreb in what was then Yugoslavia (now Croatia), but with over half of his veterinary training completed he found himself in England as the civil war developed. After settling in the UK, Nenad restarted his veterinary course from the beginning! Nenad completed much of his specialist equine training experience at The Barn as a student and is well known to many clients. Nenad worked in Wimborne for 2 years before deciding to pursue his great interest in equine practice by moving to The Barn in 2001. He became a partner of the practice in January 2005. Nenad’s professional interests are medicine and diagnostic imaging; he also performs soft tissue surgery including colic surgery at The Barn. Nenad has attained the RCVS Certificate in Equine Practice in 2004 and his professional interests are medicine and diagnostic imaging; Nenad was responsible for setting up the first UK installation of a 'Scintron' portable bone-scanning (scintigraphy) system (see our newsletter) He is the first contact for referring veterinary surgeons that wish to use this service - you can e-mail him by following the link below. In his free time, Nenad enjoys keeping fit. Many clients in the Bransgore area will have seen him out running or bike riding after work in the evenings. Nenad is married to Tara, a small animal veterinary surgeon. They have two young daughters, Katarina and Victoria.
